In the meantime, I am looking for an Impreza RS Sedan. Prefer near 100K, must be manual. What I am willing to spend will depend on what I am looking at. Lmk! :) MI, IN, IL, OH

STi short block swap into 03 WRX

Currently, I own a wrangler. However, Tomorrow I am test driving an 03 wrx wagon that, hopefully, will be mine very soon. However, it has an STi short block swapped in. Tomorrow I will take a look in the engine bay and Decipher exactly how much was swapped. My question being, what would be necessary for the short block to be swapped in, is it possible to keep WRX heads on the STi block, etc. I'm confident enough in my mechanical inclination to be able to tell tomorrow when I get a close look, But I just wanted to know any information on this, possible power gains IF they stock heads and turbo are on the swapped in block, etc. I can tell you just about anything you want to know about a jeep, but I'm not particularly familiar with subaru at this point....Or, for that matter, Forced Induction engines.

My apologies if this is a novice question, and thank you in advance to everyone who helps.
